GENA Systems has developed a new and unique system for Mountain Rescue Organizations which supports operation control centre personnel and relief units with many helpful features:

Relief units are equipped with a rugged, shock proof and water-resistant GPS-PDA.

In case of an accident in the mountain the rescuer only needs to press a button on the PDA and the exact GPS position is sent to the control centre. No more description of the accident scene via mobile phone is necessary! All sources of misunderstanding common are thus eliminated.

If there is need for a helicopter to rescue the injured person, the control centre staff just needs to send the position to the GENA SKY GUIDE navigation system in the helicopter. The pilot does only have to start the engine of his helicopter and the route to the target is already calculated on the display. No more manual input of coordinates is necessary and due to this very simple and faultless coordinates and data transfer time to save persons can be reduced massively.

During search operations GENA Systems offer a special rugged tablet PC with full control centre function and GPS/GPRS which can be used as control centre at scene.

The search area is visualised in the control centre and the coordinates are relayed directly to the GPS terminals of the rescue teams. The real-time positions transmitted by the PDA allow the control centre to track the areas which have been searched already.

Owing to the visual operation control system the relief units can also see themselves and their current position. All tracking traces made by the relief units are recorded and can be accessed at any time.

Individual sectors of a search area can be changed and re-assigned to other rescue teams at any time also during the operation.

It is immediately visible, which sections have been searched and which have not been yet.
