Our Story
| In 2006 we created GENA SYSTEMS from our frustrations with the navigational electronic systems used during various mission flight operations. While running time-sensitive missions we experienced common problems coordinating operations using technology created for taxi cab drivers, cars, and farmers. |
|
| Missing from the aviation industry was technology made exclusively for a special type of personnel: “Mission-Critical” flight crew and support staff. This special type of operational flying involves the complex in-flight & on-ground coordination of many professionals to perform life-saving rescue operations and other time-sensitive missions. | |
| In response, we set out to remedy this situation by asking one bold question, “What if we could develop an innovative mission planning system that was hassle-free, reliable, and customizable made just for those people working in emergency, disaster, or urgent time-sensitive environments?” | |
| In 2007 we moved near Salzburg Airport and began asking every dispatcher, pilot, police officer, flight engineer, and SAR personnel if they too would like a better way. If, so what would it look like? How would it function? Then we analyzed the answers and accelerated R & D of a new full mission planning tool. |
|
| The result was our flagship product SKY COMMANDER, sister product GENA SKY MAP, and other navigational support systems which feature the technological advances and customizable needs of the Mission-Critical team member. | |
| While other avionic companies mass produce a large assortment of aviation applications we decided early on we would focus on doing ONE thing better than all others. And that is engineering the best Mission Planning Management System (MPMS) in the world. |
|
| We achieve this goal by drawing upon our insight & experiences running mission critical operations. At GENA SYSTEMS we believe only a chosen few have the daring courage and compassion to be attracted to careers in “Mission-Critical” flight operations or working in urgent time-sensitive environments. | |
| At GENA SYSTEMS we’re pleased to honor the chosen few by engineering a full mission planning system and offering the new SKY COMMANDER with customizable options to ensure it matches your mission. | |
|
The project received a special appreciation of the support of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology. GENA Systems is funded by Jitu - Seedfinancing BMVIT handled by the AWS.
